While working at DesignGood, I collaborated with YETI’s internal retail and event marketing teams for eight years to create marketing assets that promoted new products, events, and the adventurous YETI lifestyle. From retailer communications and field guides to point-of-sale materials and training tools, my work connected with diverse audiences everywhere and helped reinforce the strength of YETI’s brand. Did you see a YETI retail sign in DICK’s, Academy, REI, Cabella’s, Bass Pro Shop, ACE, etc. from 2014-2023? That was my production design. 😉
One standout project was designing interactive maps as prototypes for a potential interactive wall concept in their retail stores. These maps served as tools to help YETI team members engage customers by showcasing local ambassadors to connect with while in town and outdoor activities to explore. I illustrated maps for seven key locations—Austin, Charleston, Dallas, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, and Scottsdale—and developed custom icons representing various ambassadors and activities. These tablet-sized maps featured clickable icons that provided more detailed information, creating a seamless, engaging, and informative customer experience.
Other highlights of my work with YETI include designing training and event presentations, creating custom illustrations, and developing bold poster designs celebrating their products and the YETI ethos. I loved being part of a brand that champions adventure, community, and a badass approach to life.
